Toe Leather Assessment
We inspect the leather at the toe — how far the sole has worn down, whether the base is still intact. From there we recommend the most aesthetic approach: apply the tap directly or prep the surface first for a cleaner result.
Select the Tap
We match the right tap size and shape to your shoe's last. Classic half-moon or modern flat profiles available.
Surface Prep
The toe area of the sole is lightly abraded to ensure a flat, solid bonding surface.
Fix & Secure
The iron tap is fixed with specialist nails and metal adhesive — no lifting, no unwanted clicking.
Finish
Edges trimmed flush, polished to blend with the existing sole colour.
